Sam began his professional career in Poland where he opened a chain of internet cafes. He has since worked around the world, including the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland and South Africa. Joining Bain and Company in 1999, Sam focused on clients in the high-technology and hospitality sectors. In 2002, he joined Merck Frosst and then the newly formed Merck Frosst/Schering joint venture as a product manager.

Sam’s work at Satov, which he joined in 2004, has focused on helping clients redefine their strategy and competitive position and improve their supply chains.

Sam spends much of his free time as a dealer of Greek and Roman antiquities.
